BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey is back to its Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) calendar this weekend with a home-and-home series with the University of New England. The Rams will first entertain the Nor'Easters Friday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rinkg, before making the trip to Biddeford, Maine, Saturday, Dec. 3 for 4 p.m. action.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's hockey cut the two-goal deficit in half in the early action of the third, but was unable to complete the comeback against Connecticut College Tuesday night at Dayton Arena.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk took a break from CCC contests prior to Thanksgiving and fell at Connecticut College to dip to 6-3-0 on the year. When it comes to league action, the Rams sit 5-1-0.  

Offensively, Shana Cote's 13 points lead the way with the forward sitting atop both the goal (6) and assist (7) categories. Miranda Gaudet sports an 11-point stat line of four goals and seven helpers.

Lily O'Neil has played the bulk of time in net. In seven games played, she holds a 1.57 GAA and .936 save percentage. Julia McLellan (0.00 GAA, 1.000 save percentage) and Hannah Gordon (1.00 GAA and .929 save percentage) have both competed in one game apiece. 

NOR'EASTER NOTES
The University of New England fell in back-to-back outings to hold a 5-4-0 overall record. In league games, the Nor'Easters have dropped games to Western New England and Curry to hold a 4-2-0 CCC mark.  

Keely Kasputis and Avery Lutrzykowski lead UNE's 30-goal offense with six points apiece. Their stat lines are revered with Kasputis providing four goals and two assists and Lutrzykowski sporting a two-helper, four-scorer effort. 

Delanie Corcoran has played every minute in net. She brings in a 1.68 GAA and .943 save percentage. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk sits 4-1-0 all-time against the University of New England.

Suffolk has two games left on its first semester scheduled, both of which will be played in Eastie. First the Rams will host Western New England in a CCC clash Friday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m., before tangling with Trinity Saturday, Dec. 10 at 4:50 p.m.
