
EAST BOSTON – Eleven Rams helped Suffolk women's hockey tie the program record for goals scored in a game and take down Nichols, 10-1, Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It may have taken Suffolk awhile to get going, but once the Rams started scoring, they didn't stop. The host poured in four pucks over a 5:21 span starting at the 13:39 minute mark of the middle period. Jesse Kennedy jump started the rally with back-to-back goals less than two minutes apart. Miranda Gaudet and Shana Cote followed suit with markers of their own to give the blue-and-gold a comfortable 4-0 cushion at the second intermission.
In the third Suffolk picked up where it left off and started scoring again just over a minute into the final frame. Five unanswered markers came over a 6:55 span to extend the Rams advantage to 9-0. This time Sofia Scilipoti, Sam Molind, Jenna Caballero, Elise Wainwright and Gaudet found the back of h tenet to push the margin to nine
Grace Wiggett eliminated the shutout as she broke the Bison on the board with help from Taylor Breen at the 8:04 minute mark.
As time dwindled, Scilipoti struck for the second time on the day with 1:30 remaining in regulation to restore the nine-goal margin, which matches Suffolk's largest victory in program history.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Lily O'Neil recorded 24 saves.
- Julia Caroll had 27 stops in the setback.
- Mckenzie Muir took over the net with 15:16 to go in the third. She had five saves in her relief effort.
