2022-23 SUFFOLK WOMEN'S HOCKEY SCHEDULE

BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey has nailed down its fifth varsity season slate with 25 games in store for the 2022-23 edition of the Rams over the regular season, head coach Taylor Wasylk announced. The slate features a dozen games at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink and a trip to Michigan.

"We are very excited about this season's schedule," Wasylk said. "It is a great combination of competitive CCC programs as well as some tough out of conference opponents who we have become familiar with over the last few seasons. We are excited to see how our group comes together and competes come October."

Action opens at Plymouth State Friday, Oct. 28 with a Beantown battle in Eastie against UMass Boston following the next afternoon, Saturday, Sept. 29.

Commonwealth Coast Conference play commences with a home-and-home series against Salve Regina November 4-5. The Rams will play at the Seahawks den Friday, before entertaining SRU Saturday.

Home-and-home series with Nichols (Nov. 11-12) and Endicott (Nov. 18-19) make up the next two weekends with a Tuesday, Nov. 22 clash at Connecticut College wrapping up the second month of action. Suffolk's Friday, Nov. 11 bout with the Bison will serve as the blue-and-gold's Suicide Awareness Game.

Of Suffolk's four games in December, three of them will played at Porrazzo Rink: University of New England (Dec. 2), Western New England (Dec. 9) and Trinity (Dec. 10). The lone road trip of the month is a trek to Biddeford, Maine, for a Saturday, Dec. 3 showdown with the Nor'Easters.

The Rams have nearly a month away from competition for finals and the holidays before its back to the grind. The first outings of second semester ship Suffolk to Adrian, Michigan for a two-game series at Adrian January 6-7.

A weekend off awaits the Rams on their return to New England and January wraps up with home-and-home tangles against Curry (Jan. 20-21) and Western New England (Jan. 27-28).

From there, Suffolk will face different league foes on each day of the weekend. A trip to the University of New England Friday, Feb. 3 precedes Saturday, Feb. 4 action versus Nichols.

The Rams will honor their graduating players prior to puck drop of its Friday, Feb. 10 tangle with Salve Regina before busing to Beverly, Massachusetts, Saturday, Feb. 11 for a test at Endicott.

Suffolk takes a break from conference clashes Monday, Feb. 13 when it entertains Amherst. Four days later Suffolk caps off the regular-season at Curry, Friday, Feb. 17.

A year ago, Wasylk's squad made Suffolk's history as the winningest team in the Rams record book, 19-6-0. The blue-and-gold look to rewrite history again this season and will rely heavily on its returners, highlighted by All-American Shana Cote, to do so. Fourteen others join Cote back in blue-and-gold from last season's record-setting campaign including all-region and all-league honoree defenseman Madison Duff and All-CCC performer Sofia Scilipoti.
