HARTFORD, Conn. – Suffolk women's hockey responded to each of Trinity's goals to force overtime where Madison Duff potted the golden goal 2:25 into the extra session to lift the Rams over the Bantams, 4-3, Friday night at Koeppel Community Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite a scoreless first frame that was truly dominated by the Rams with an 18-1 lopsided shots advantage it was the Bantams that got on the board first. Trinity took advantage of the power play as Ellie Fellows' initial shot was kicked out by Lily O'Neil, but Stephanie Nevers was there to clean it up and give the hosts the 1-0 lead.

Suffolk answered on an even-strength unassisted goal by Sofia Scilipoti at the 12:27 mark to send the teams into the second intermission even at one apiece.

Trinity took advantage of man-up opportunity again, this time 3:29 into the third. Hannah Feinberg buried a power play goal on an assist from Annika Dyczkowski before Fellows found the back of the net to extend the distance to a pair, 3-1, less than three minutes later.

A Rams response came three minutes after that. Maddy Burton's power play goal cut the deficit back to one before the graduate student leveled the playing field at 4-all with an even-strength strike 3:28 later. Jesse Kennedy aided on the game-tying goal.

Trinity managed to put two shots on target in the 3-on-3 overtime period, but Suffolk wrapped up things when Duff netted the game-winner with help from Burton and Shana Cote.
