
BOSTON – On Boston's birthday, Suffolk women's hockey head coach Taylor Wasylk divided its roster into five groups for a friendly competition off the ice to submit their favorite shots throughout the city home to Ram Nation, Boston.
Once submitted the five group photos were published on the team's official Instagram account, SU_WHockey, and were voted on by the team's followers for 'Best Photo.'
Group one (pictured to the right), comprised of Hannah Gordon, Emily Zambarano, Sydney Tietz, Shana Cote and Madison Ricardo, received the most of the over 100 votes cast to be dubbed the winner.
The Suffolk women's hockey photo contest was on held on Boston's "old style" birthday, Tuesday, Sept. 7. Now, Suffolk Athletics is asking Ram Nation to take part in another photo contest on the city's "new style" birthday, Friday, Sept. 17.
Members of the Suffolk community – alumni, current students, family, friends and fans – are encouraged to submit photos of the city of Boston on social media, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to GoSuffolkRams now through Thursday, Sept. 16. On Friday, Sept. 17 a social media poll will be published to have Ram Nation decide the winner. The winner will receive official Suffolk Athletics gear. Each individual can submit one photo and will receive bonus points if they are wearing Suffolk blue-and-gold in the photo!
