Endicott Sneaks Past Women’s Hockey, 2-1

EAST BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey took a one-goal advantage into the third period, but whatever Endicott said in the locker room in the second intermission worked as the Gulls struck two unanswered markers in the final frame to take down the Rams, 2-1, Sunday afternoon at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

THE BASISC
SCORE: Suffolk 1 | Endicott 2
RECORDS: Suffolk (2-6-0) | Endicott (6-0-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Shana Cote found the back of the twin with less than five minutes remaining in the opening period with help from Maddy Burton and Julia Volpe to put the Rams on the board.

Cote's goal kept Suffolk ahead throughout a scoreless second stanza, but 10 seconds into the third period Endicott leveled the playing field. From the initial face-off Meaghan Francis found the back of the net to make it a 1-all game.

Things stayed there until Kat Keith gave the Gulls the go-ahead at the 12:03 minute mark of the third period. Taylor Wasylk had her team trying to play catch-up and pulled the goalie with 1:18 left on the clock, however, a late too many men on the ice penalty forced the Rams to play a man-down for the final 35 seconds and Endicott skated away with the one-goal victory.
