Women’s Hockey Falls at Becker, 2-1

WORCESTER, Mass. – A pair of goals over a 2:20 span early in the third period was enough for Becker to take down Suffolk women's hockey, 2-1, Tuesday afternoon at the Fidelity Ice Center.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 1 | Becker 2
RECORDS: Suffolk (2-4-0) | Becker (5-5-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED
A scoreless first frame was followed up by a Rams' goal in the second stanza. Madison Duff was responsible for putting the Rams on the board with help from Maddy Burton. The first goal of the day, which came with just over five minutes remaining in the middle period gave the blue-and-gold the 1-0 edge at the second intermission.

Becker leveled the playing field six minutes into the third period when Katie Puumala lit the lamp on a set-up from Julia Ravenelle.

Just over two minutes later, the Hawks hit again. Clare Conway took advantage of the man-up opportunity for the hosts. She found the back of the net to flip the score in Becker's favor, 2-1. The eventual game-winning goal was assisted by Puumala and Kylian Kelly.

Suffolk had time to make up the ground, but never did, and Becker handed the Rams their second loss in three days.
