Women’s Hockey Shutouts Anna Maria, 6-0

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Suffolk women's hockey's offense was firing on all cylinders and Halle Usseglio was perfect between the pipes as the Rams took a 6-0 victory over Anna Maria Saturday night at the New England Sports Center.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 6 | Anna Maria 0
RECORDS: Suffolk (2-3-0) | Anna Maria (0-3-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk's scoring started late in the first frame, but once the Rams got going back-to-back goals came quickly. Julia Volpe broke the Rams onto the board at the 15:58 minute mark with a feed from Stephanie Moy.

Just 1:29 later, Meghan Gazard added the second strike of the day thanks to help from Cassidy Gruning and Madison Ricardo

That same line was the first to punch through in the second set of minutes. This time it was Gruning's stick that scored with the sophomore set-up by Richard and Gazard.

Madison Scheinberg joined the Rams rally at the 7:01 minute mark with an assist from Elise Wainwright and 2:41 later Kiley Searles and Shana Cote teamed up to aid a short-handed strike for Maddy Burton.

The scoring ended the same way it started, by Volpe, who added her second goal of the day just 22 seconds prior to the horn signaling the second intermission to give the Rams a 6-0 advantage. That deficit held over the final period for the final six-goal victory.
