
BEVERLY, Mass. – Natasha Savage and Meghan Gazard both produced their first collegiate goals, but it would not be enough for Suffolk women's hockey, who fell to Endicott, 4-2, Saturday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gulls go the scoring going 4:33 into the action, before Savage responded for the Rams almost exactly six minutes later. Maddy Burton and Julia Volpe aided to the game-tying goal. The 1-all score held the remainder of the opening period.
Suffolk jumped ahead 2:03 into the middle frame when Meagan MacNeil and Madison Scheinberg set-up Gazard. The Rams maintained the one-goal margin until Endicott leveled the playing field at 2-2 at the 14:08 mark of the second period and the team's headed into the second intermission deadlocked.
Similar to the second, a goal came early on in the third, but this time it was Endicott that struck early on. The Gulls gained a 3-2 edge 2:37 into the final frame and extended that distance to a pair of pucks at the midway point. Suffolk could not make up the ground and the 4-2 score held at the final buzzer.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Julia McLellan turned aside 28 shots in the setback.
- Michaela O'Brien recorded 17 saves in the Gulls' season-opener.
