BOSTON – For the second straight week the New England Hockey Conference's Rookie of the Week was from Suffolk women's hockey as Shana Cote earned the recognition after a four-point showing in a 1-1 week for the Rams, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Cote's four points all came in a 4-3 non-conference victory over Becker Friday, Nov. 9 with the freshman scoring a career-high two goals and dishing out a personal-best two helpers. Her four points are the most by a student-athlete in a single game in the young program's history.

The freshman from Broomfield, Colorado, is the second Suffolk skater to be tabbed the league's best rookie over a seven day stretch this season with Haley Poloskey becoming the first-ever last week, Nov. 5. Overall, the Rams have garnered three weekly awards from the conference with Kristen Caporusso earning co-goaltender of the week accolades on Nov. 5.

Cote has registered seven points through six games this season, producing at least one point in four outings.

The Rams and Cote return to action this weekend when they travel to Johnson & Wales Friday, Nov. 16 for a 3:55 p.m. conference clash.
