
BREWSTER, Mass. – Suffolk women's golf capped off its 2023 fall slate with a fifth-place performance at the 7th NEIGA Championships over the weekend at The Captains Golf Course.
The Rams finished in the middle of the nine-team field with a two-day card of 673. Wellesley won its first NEIGA title with a 604, while Division III newcomer Hartford was runner-up with a 627 and Bates rounded out the top three with a 655.
Ellie Yarbrough claimed 13th in the 43-golfer field. The senior sat in a share of 16th after Saturday's action with an 83. On Sunday she shaved four strokes off her card to finish with a 162.
Isabel Smith was four strokes behind her classmate and co-captain to secure 16th.
Freshman Brooke Bugajewski was just outside the top-18 with a 172 overall after shooting an 88 and 84, respectively, to claim 19th.
Sophomore Ella Torsleff was one stroke behind Bugajewski to share 20th, while senior Sophie Kiley took 25th with a 181.
The regional tournament completed Suffolk's 2023 fall schedule. The Rams 2024 spring schedule will b released in the New Year.
