Women’s Golf Holds Seventh after Day 1 at Polar Bear Shootout

DAY ONE RESULTS 

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Suffolk women's golf sits in seventh place after Saturday's portion of play of the Polar Bear Shootout at the Brunswick Golf Club Saturday. 

The Rams team card reads 349 after the first 18 holes, while Wellesley's Blue holds the top spot with a 311 (+19). Bates (325) and invite host Bowdoin (331) round out the top three teams of the eight-team field.  

Ellie Yarbrough had the best day on the green for the blue-and-gold. The senior shot an 85, plus-12 on the par-73 course to share 21st with Wellesley's Maria Li. 

Yarbrough's co-captains Sophie Kiley and Isabel Smith appear in the top-25 as well in 23rd and a share of 24th, respectively. Kiley shot an 86, while Smith notched an 87. 

Ella Torsleff, who is in the midst of her Suffolk debut, holds the 37th spot in the field of 46 with a 91.
