AUTUMN ACHIEVEMENTS
Suffolk competed in five events over the fall of 2021 and capped off the opening portion of its sixth schedule with a NEIGA Championship, the program's third Division III title, and first-ever overall regional crown. Individually, Isabel Smith won the individual medalist honors at NEIGA, the second Ram to do so.
THE COURSE
The Edison Club golf course was laid out in 1926 by the legendary Devereux Emmet, whose other creations included Congressional Country Club, host to three U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship.

RAMS AT THE EDISON CLUB
Suffolk last competed at the Edison Club in a head-to-head match with NWGC foe SUNY Cortland. Isabel Smith (82), Ellie Yarbrough (93) and Madison Scheinberg (102) are teh only Rams to take the green at the Edison Club.
ABOUT THE NWGC
A new independent NCAA Division III women's golf conference was formed in 2019; the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) was approved by the NCAA Membership Committee. Suffolk is one of 10 members of the league along with SUNY Canton, SUNY Cortland, Geneseo, Husson, Keuka, Manhattanville, Nazareth, Sage, St. John Fisher, Utica and Westfield State.
NWGC CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
The NWGC Championship is in its fourth year.
Suffolk was the inaugural champion in 2019 when the Rams topped the seven-team field at the Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Massachusetts. In 2019 the championship was one day.
In 2020, the NWGC Championship went to a two-day event at the Colonie Country Club in Voorheesville, New York. The Rams finished third in the eight-team field in 2020 with a team score of 771.
Last season, the league tournament returned to a one-day outing at the Colonie Country Club in Voorheesville, New York. Suffolk secured second place in the six-team field with a team care of 381.
RAMS AT THE NWGC CHAMPIONSHIP
Now assistant coach Nicole Anotnucci was the inaugural NWGC Individual Champion in 2019. She earned the title as a sophomore in 2019 behind a card of 81 at the Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Aine Dillon (tied-2nd) and Brooke Chapman (5th) had top-five performances at the inaugural NWGC Championships in 2019 as well.
Chapman and Antonucci put together top-10 finishes at the 2020 championship, finishing sixth and ninth, respectively, to claim All-NWGC Second-Team honors, the first Rams to do so in program history.
Last year, Ellie Yarbrough made the most on the first championship course of her collegiate career with a fourth-place performance behind a score of 90. Isabel Smith was one stroke behind Yarbrough in fifth and Antonucci shared sixth with a of 94. That threesome, Yarbrough, Smith and Antonucci, garnered All-NWGC honors. The three all-league selections are the most for the Rams in the two-year history that the awards have been handed out.
SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
Suffolk concludes its 2022 spring slate at the Suffolk Invite, which is rescheduled from its initial day of April 9 to Saturday, April 30, with a new place, Tekoa Golf Course in Westfield, Mass.
