Women’s Golf Sees Trio Garner Empire 8 President’s List Status

EMPIRE 8 PRESIDENT'S LIST

BOSTON – The back-to-back NEIGA Champions, Suffolk women's golf, proved its success in the classroom as well as three Rams took home Empire 8 President's List status, the conference office announced this week.

Sophomores Nicole Antonucci and Brooke Chapman and junior Aine Dillon each achieved the 3.75 grade point average or higher feat, while participating on the Rams' women's golf team and displaying positive conduct on and off the campus. Antonucci and Dillon were recognized with the distinction for the third time, while Chapman collected her second such honor.

For the 2018 fall semester, the Empire 8 recognized over 800 student-athletes on the President's List.

Jay Parker's Rams, who repeated as Empire 8 runner-ups on the course, put together the highest GPA of Suffolk's 19 varsity sports with a 3.73 in the classroom in the fall of 2018. Chapman's 4.0 semester led the way.

The academic accolades come on the heels of another successful outing on the green this fall. In the conference championship, Dillon and Chapman became the first-ever Suffolk student-athletes to garner a spot on the All-Empire 8 teams garnering a spot on the first- and second-team, respectively. The pair led the Rams to their second straight NEIGA title where all five of Suffolk's golfers took home All-NEIGA first-team honors.
