RAPID REWIND

Suffolk had one of the most successful second seasons in the Department's history in 2018.

In its first season in the Empire 8 the Rams placed second and upstaged that performance two weeks later with the program's first ever championship, the NEIGA title.

Along the way, three student-athletes in Nicole Antonucci, Brooke Chapman and McKenzie McGrath became the first-ever Suffolk golfers, either male or female, to earn All-NEIGA status and did so in first-team fashion.

RAMS ROSTER RUNDOWN
The five-golfer Rams' roster is comprised of four returners and one true freshman in Sophia Koester

CLASS CATEGORIES
Jay Parker's Rams represent every class year at Suffolk with a pair of sophomores in Nicole Antonucci and Brooke Chapman and one member of the other classes including senior McKenzie McGrath, junior Aine Dillon and freshman Sophia Koester.

GEOGRAPHY 101
Members of the 2018 Suffolk women's golf team hail from three different states. Two Rams call New Hampshire home and a pair are Massachusetts natives. Sophia Koester is the only player not from New England, coming to Beantown from Ohio.

RAMS RINGLEADERS
On its first official day back on campus, Suffolk women's golf head coach Jay Parker announced that junior Aine Dillon and senior McKenzie McGrath will share leadership responsibilities in 2018 as the Rams' co-captains.

THE COMPETITION
Nine teams will join Suffolk at the Clifton Springs Country Club this weekend. In addition to the Rams and the hosts William and Smith, Empire 8 Members St. John Fisher and Nazareth will take the course, with Keuka, Ithaca, Cortland, St. Lawrence, Union and Hamilton also set to compete.

SEASON OPENERS
For the first time in Suffolk women's golf history the Rams will lift the lid on their slate in a two-day competition.

AT THE HELM
Jay Parker enters his third season as the Suffolk women's golf head coach. Under his leadership, the Rams have finished as runner-up at the 2017 Empire 8 Championship and hoisted the trophy at the NEIGA Championships that same season. He is the only Suffolk golf coach – both men and women – to have led a student-athlete to All-NEIGA honors as Nicole Antonucci, Brook Chapman and McKenzie McGrath took home the feat last season.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk remains in the Bay State next weekend for the Mt. Holyoke Invitational set to take play at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts, Sept. 22-23.
