DeAngelis Selected CNE Player of the Week

CNE RELEASE

BEVELRY, Mass. – Amanda DeAngelis of the Suffolk women's basketball team has earned Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week following a 1-1 week for the Rams, the league office announced Monday.

DeAngelis, a fifth-year forward from Londonderry, New Hampshire, averaged a double-double of 20.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game behind a 41.0 conversion rate from the floor.

At Hartford Wednesday, DeAngelis contributed 17 points, eight boards, three steals and one block in the 71-56 setback.

In the regular-season finale on Saturday versus Nichols, she put together a 24-point, 16-rebound effort that went along with three helpers and three takeaways. Two of her points were crucial as the go-ahead bucket came with just over 30 seconds remaining in regulation before she made a clutch steal on the defensive end to secure the victory.

It is the second CNE weekly honor for DeAngelis this season and sixth of her collegiate career, fifth time she was tabbed the league's best player in a seven-day span. She is one of two Rams to receive a weekly accolade from the conference this year as Tatitana Tune was selected as CNE Rookie of the Week Nov. 26, 2024.

DeAngelis and the Rams turn their sights on the 2025 CNE Women's Basketball Tournament that gets underway tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 25 with first round play. Sixth-seeded Suffolk takes its talents to third seed Roger Williams for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
