DeAngelis Selected CNE Player of the Week

CNE RELEASE 

BEVELRY, Mass. – Amanda DeAngelis of the Suffolk women's basketball team was named Conference of New England (CNE) player of the week after helping the Rams to a 1-1 week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. 

DeAngelis, a fifth-year forward, averaged a double-double of 20.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per outing with a 46.2 conversion rate from the floor and a 71.r percentage from the free throw line. 

The Londonderry, New Hampshire native opened the week with 19 points and 12 caroms in an 88-74 win at Gordon. Three days later she poured in 21 points and nine boards in the 75-68 setback to Endicott. 

The weekly recognition is a first by the conference for DeAngelis this season and first time a Ram was named the league's best player in a seven-day span since DeAngelis received the recognition Feb. 12, 2024. Overall, this year Suffolk owns a pair of CNE weekly accolades. In addition to DeAngelis nod this week, Tatiana Tune was tabbed CNE Rookie of the Week Nov. 26, 2024.  

DeAngelis and the Rams return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 11 at No. 23 Western New England at 5:30 p.m.
