The trio of Amanda DeAngelisKatie Kirsch and Maddie Stewart all logged double-doubles to lead Suffolk women's basketball past Endicott in Commonwealth Coast Conference action, 80-65, Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk splits its CCC-opening action a week ago to bring a 5-2 overall record and 1-1 league ledger into Tuesday's tilt.  

Amanda DeAngelis averages a double-double of 17.4 points and 10.9 rebounds per game to anchor the Rams on both sides of the hardwood. Colby Guinta and Maddie Stewart supply double figures in scoring as well with 13.9 ppg and 12.7 ppg, respectively, while Katie Kirsch pitches in 8.3 rpg. 

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Roger Williams, who is receiving votes in the latest WBCA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll, carries a 5-2 overall mark and unblemished 2-0 conference record into Tuesday's tangle. The Hawks ride a four-game win streak into the Boston battle that includes victories over UMass Dartmouth (81-56), Brandeis (89-58), Nichols (85-58) and Curry (59-32).

The trio of Katie Galligan (15.1 ppg), Sophie Araneo (13.4 ppg), and Caroline Elie (13.3 ppg) power the Hawks 69.4 offensive output. Elie (7.6 rpg) and Araneo (7.3 rpg) are top factors on the glass for RWU, who outrebounds its opponents by a hefty 13.4 margin.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk looks to snap a two-game skid against Roger Williams that put the Rams at 10-5 in the all-time series with the Hawks. 
  • The foes last met, Feb. 16, 2022, when the Hawks defeated the Rams, 63-57.
