BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball hits the road this week with its first trip set for Wednesday, Jan. 19 to Salve Regina. Tip-off between the Rams and Seahawks is set for 5:30 p.m.

UPDATED FAN POLICY
With the health and well-being of students and staff remaining the highest priority, effective immediately, spectators will not be permitted at Suffolk University Athletics home contests through the end of January 2022. At that time, the spectator policy will be reevaluated. 

The change in the spectator policy comes as a precaution against the increase in COVID cases throughout the city, state and region.  

The spectator policy applies to on-campus venues including, but not limited to, Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, home of Suffolk basketball, as well as off-campus locations in the men's ice hockey home rink, Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink, and the women's hockey arena, Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's basketball was outplayed out of the locker room by the Gulls which led to a 64-60 setback to Endicott in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk splits its two-game CCC week to move to 9-4 on the year and 3-3 in league play.  

The wealth of the Rams' 70.9 ppg offense is spread out. Jenni-Rose DiCecco takes on the bulk of the load as the only play averaging double figures with 15.5 ppg. Allie Lopes and Amanda DeAngelis are on the verge of double digits with 9.9 ppg and 9.8 ppg, respectively. Gabriella DeComo is a consistent scoring threat as well with 9.0 ppg. 

Emily Welling's 7.7 rpg leads the blue-and-gold's 49.5 rpg effort on the glass. DeAngelis supplies 7.5 rpg with Natalie Fraioli and DiCecco chipping in 5.8 rpg apiece. 

SEAHAWKS SAYINGS
Salve Regina has coupled back-to-back wins together, including a 66-56 win at the University of New England Monday, Jan. 17, to move to 6-6 on the year and 5-1 in CCC play.  

Four different players average double figures to pace the Seahawks 64.9 points per game offense. Briana Neary's 14.2 ppg leads the way with Ashley Rourke and Morgan Shuey sliding into second and third with 12.8 ppg and 11.7 ppg, respectively. Megan Henaghan, who leads the way on the boards with 9.5 rpg, rounds out the foursome with 10.2 ppg. Neary and Rourke each grab 6.4 rpg to be consistent contributors to the team's 40.4 rpg. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk leveled the all-time series, which dates back to 1984-85, with Salve Regina at five wins apiece after defeating the Seahawks 67-44 Nov. 20, 2019. 
• The Rams are 3-3 when playing at Salve Regina, 1-2 when hosting the Seahawks and 1-0 on neutral hardwood.
