D3HOOPS.COM ALL-REGION TEAM

BOSTON – For the second time in her career Jenni-Rose DiCecco of Suffolk women's basketball grabbed an all-region accolade D3Hoops.com as the senior floor general was named to the All-East/Northeast Second-Team, the organization unveiled Wednesday afternoon.

DiCecco became the first-ever Suffolk student-athlete, male or female, to pick up the all-region distinction from D3Hoops.com with a fourth-team nod as a sophomore in 2018-19. Her second-team selection this season makes the floor general the first Ram to earn multiple all-region accolades from the national organization throughout their career. DiCecco is the lone Commonwealth Coast Conference student-athlete to make this year's all-region list.

To go along with this year's all-region recognition, the two-year captain has an extensive awards resume that includes a third-team All-NEWBA honor, 2017-18 GNAC Rookie of the Year, NEWBA All-Rookie Team, three first-team All-GNAC and GNAC All-Tournament Team selections, respectively.

Players were nominated for recognition on the 20th-edition of the D3Hoops.com all-region teams by Sports Information Directors. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some regions had limited numbers of teams competing so regions were combined for awards purposes. In order to be considered for recognition, a team had to play a minimum of five games to make their players eligible.

The Falmouth, Massachusetts, native senior season was limited to just eight games due to the worldwide pandemic, but the point guard made the most of it. She led the blue-and-gold to a near perfect record, 7-1, by sitting atop the team in nearly every statistically category including points (11.9), assists (5.6) and steals (2.5) per game, while the 5-foot-6 guard sat second on the squad in rebounds per outing with 7.4.

Her offensive output was not limited to scoring as her 2.25 assist to turnover ratio was the 22nd-best across NCAA Division III in 2020-21, while her assists per game, 5.6, ranked 14th.

Throughout four seasons in a blue-and-gold jersey, DiCecco has sealed her spot as one of the greatest to play inside the Ridgeway Building. She became one of the youngest players to joined the 1,000-point club, accomplishing the feat in just 62 games. Today, with 1,385 career points, she is second all-time in the Rams Record books. This season she sealed her spot as the program's all-time leader in assists (408) and steals (226), marking the milestones in the same game, March 12, 2021 against Curry.

DiCecco plans to take advantage of her fifth year of eligibility next year where the Rams are set to compete for the CCC crown for the first time.
