BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball caps off its regular-season home calendar Tuesday, Feb. 18 as it entertains Colby Sawyer. The 6 p.m. tip-off is game one of a Rams' basketball doubleheader with the men's team welcoming Saint Joseph's (Maine) in for the nightcap at 8 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Alexis Hackett made the most of one of her finale times at the Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court as she powered Suffolk women's basketball to a 68-42 victory over Norwich with a 27-point, 11-rebound double-double Saturday afternoon. Hackett's highlight performance featured her 1,000th career point for the Rams.

RAMS REVIEW
With two games remaining in the regular season, Suffolk sits in a two-way tie for third place with a 7-2 GNAC ledger. Overall the Rams are 16-7.  

Jenni-Rose DiCecco anchors the blue-and-gold's 64.3 ppg offense with 15.3 ppg and 4.8 apg. Gabriella DeComo and Alexis Hackett complement DiCecco's scoring with 10.4 ppg and 10.1 ppg, respectively. Allie Lopes also adds to the offensive output with 8.0 ppg to her credit. 

Defensively, Hackett pulls down the bulk of the boards with 9.3 rpg. Emily Welling chips in 5.2 rpg to the Rams' 41.2 rpg and DiCecco adds 4.6 rpg. 

CHARGERS CATCHUP
Colby Sawyer has strung together three straight wins, including a 64-46 victory against Fisher Saturday, to head to Boston 16-7 on the year and 5-4 against GNAC foes.  

The Chargers 63.3 ppg offense sees a trio supply double figures led by Tianna Sugars' 16.0 ppg. Lexie Hamilton contributes 13.9 ppg to the cause and Joslin Wainwright's 11.8 ppg completes the top threat scoring threats for CSC. 

Sugars paces the pack on the glass as well with 11.2 rpg to average a double-double effort. As a team the Chargers register 44.3 rpg, outrebounding their foes by an 8.4 margin. Hamilton's 7.3 rpg are good for second on the squad with Wainwright's 6.5 rpg rounding out the top three.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Colby Sawyer will meet for the 24th time and second as conference foes.
