BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball looks to keep its win streak going Thursday, Jan. 9 when it tangles with MIT at Emerson's Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's basketball ran its win streak to three as the Rams lifted the lid on its second semester schedule with an 88-79 victory over Sage Saturday afternoon at Kahl Gym.

RAMS REVIEW
Suffolk's third straight win, an 88-79 victory at Sage Saturday, improved the Rams to 8-3 overall. 

Jenni-Rose DiCecco directs the blue-and-gold's 66.5 ppg offense scoring 16.8 ppg herself and dishing out 5.1 apg. The junior aids to the team's 41.1 rpg as well with 5.0 rpg to her effort. Alexis Hackett helps on both ends of the hardwood with a near double-double average of 10.1 ppg and 9.9 rpg.Gabriella DeComo is a consistent contributor offensively as well with 10.1 ppg. 

EYES ON THE ENGINEERS
MIT ran its win streak to three Tuesday with a 69-56 victory over SUNY Poly to improve to 4-7 on the year.  

Four different players produce double digits in points to lead the 63.8 ppg offense. Christina Antonakakis' 14.1 ppg pace the pack with Kylie Gallagher adding 13.7 ppg and Jocelyn Luizzi and Annika Sougstad providing 13.2 ppg and 10.9 ppg, respectively.  

Gallagher's 8.3 rpg anchor the Engineers 36.0 rpg unit on the glass with Sougstad grabbing 7.7 rpg and Luizzi a consistent contributor as well with 7.2 rpg. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and MIT renew a series, meeting for the first time since 2013-14 and 29thtime overall. 
  • The Rams took the last meeting, 73-50, at the Regis Tournament to stretch their win streak against the Engineers to three. 
  • Suffolk, however, trails the all-time series, which began in 1977-79, 8-20.
