BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team concludes a three-game road trip Saturday, Dec. 7 when it visits Framingham State for a 1 p.m. tip-off.

Suffolk women's basketball put together a convincing 63-30 triumph over Fitchburg State led by a record-setting effort from Jenni-Rose DiCecco, who netted her 1,000th point, in the non-conference victory Wednesday night at Parkinson Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk ran its win streak to four Wednesday with an 63-30 offensive onslaught of Fitchburg State to move to 5-2 on the season.  

Jenni-Rose DiCecco powers the 61.3 ppg offense with 19.6 ppg and 4.3 apg. The floor general adds 4.6 rpg to the defensive unit, which is led by Alexis Hackett's 10.1 rpg. The senior adds 6.7 ppg as well with Gabriella DeComo pitching in 8.1 ppg and Emily Welling grabbing 6.7 rpg. 

FSU RAMS REVIEW
Framingham State won its fourth straight Thursday night with an 82-53 win at Regis to sit at 6-1 on the season. The Rams' lone setback of the season came at Brandeis, 72-54, November 16.  

Offensively, FSU is putting in 78.0 ppg with the trio of Emily Velozo (17.0 ppg), Mary Kate O'Day (14.7 ppg) and Flannery O'Connor (11.4 ppg) all averaging double figures.  

The Rams are well-rounded defensively. O'Day anchors the 45.3 rpg effort with 7.6 rpg to her credit. O'Connor and Julia Sanborn add 6.9 rpg and 6.6 rpg, respectively. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk has defeated Framingham State in back-to-back meetings to improve to 22-14 all-time against FSU.
