BOSTON – After taking midweek action off, Suffolk women's basketball returns to the hardwood Saturday, Feb. 9 as it stops by Colby Sawyer for a 1 p.m. GNAC contest.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team put together a powerful second half to take down Simmons, 70-55, Saturday afternoon at Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk swept a three-game week to improve to 17-5 on the season and 8-1 against conference competition, which puts the Rams in a two-way tie for second-place in the league standings.   

Jenni-Rose DiCecco has directed Suffolk to its success as the floor general leads the way offensively for the Rams with 17.2 ppg and 4.4 apg. The sophomore guard chips in defensively as well with a squad-best 2.8 spg to go along with 5.7 rpg, good for second on the team.

Alexis Hackett pitches in on both sides of the ball as well. The junior notched a double-double effort with 11.4 rpg and 11.5 ppg.

Allie Lopes and Marissa Gudauskas chip in 9.6 ppg and 9.0 ppg, respectively, to Suffolk's 67.4 ppg offense.

CHARGERS CATCH UP
Colby Sawyer took a tightly contested contest at Norwich, 55-53, to move to 14-8 on the year and 6-3 in league play. 

The Chargers 59.3 ppg offense is anchored by the duo of Tianna Sugars (16.6 ppg) and Lexie Hamilton (13.4 ppg). The pair paces the pack on the glass as well. Sugars produces 10.5 rpg to average a double-double effort, while Hamilton tallies 6.0 rpg.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Colby Sawyer will take the hardwood against one another for the 23rd time overall and first as conference foes.
  • Overall, the Rams trail the all-time series with the Chargers, 8-14 and looks to snap a two-game skid versus CSC.
