BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball is in for a battle Saturday, Jan. 27 remaining undefeated GNAC team Saint Joseph's (Maine) comes to Regan Gymnasium for a 1 p.m. clash.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team fell victim to foul trouble and Saint Joseph's (Maine) took advantage with a powerful fourth frame powered by Kelsey McNamara to come back and take down the Rams, 82-79, Saturday afternoon inside Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After its hearting breaking loss to Saint Joseph's (Maine) Saturday, Suffolk looks to make up ground in the league standings as the 14-4 overall Rams currently sit in fourth place with a 7-2 league ledger. 

As a team, Suffolk is averaging just shy of 70.0 ppg with 69.7 ppg paced by Georgia Bourikas' 14.7 ppg. Jenni-Rose DiCecco contributes 14.2 ppg with Alexis Hackett adding 10.2 ppg. 

Defensively, the Rams pull down 41.9 rpg led by Hackett's 10.8 rpg effort. Bourikas chips in 6.7 rpg with Jordan HIpwell pitching in 6.4 rpg.

SAINTS SAYINGS
Emmanuel hit a milestone Saturday thanks to its 100-94 victory over Albertus as the Saints' head coach Andrew Yosinoff joined elite company with his 800th career victory. The triumph put Emmanuel at 12-6 on the season and 8-1 in league play, good for third place in the standings. 

The Saints' 75.2 ppg offense receives 15.2 ppg from Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda and 11.5 ppg from Alisha Fox. The pair are the only two players racking up double digits with Madison McLaughlin (8.4 ppg) and Kayla Weaver (8.1 ppg) also adding to the effort. 

Ramirez-Tejeda is also Emmanuel's defensive force with the sophomore grabbing 9.3 rpg. Mary Mcarthy and Cailtin Cipriano complement the defense with 5.5 rpg and 4.4 rpg, respectively.

THE SERIES
The Suffolk, Emmanuel series is one of the most heated battles on the Rams schedule since 1995. Despite the history, the Saints hold the commanding series lead, 28-1, with the blue-and-gold's only win over its city and conference rival coming Feb. 9, 2008 by a 66-55 margin.

Georgia Bourikas is inching closer to stamping her name in the Rams' record book. The senior is just 15 points shy of the coveted 1,000-point milestone. The guard from Hull, Massachusetts, also looks to move her current fourth-place standing on the all-time treys made list with 131 up, while she has the chance to seal up spots on the all-time assists (197) and blocks (39) list.
