BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team wraps up regular-season action Saturday, Feb. 18 when the Rams welcome crosstown and GNAC rival Emmanuel to Regan Gymnasium. Prior to the 1 p.m. tipoff, Suffolk will honor the player careers of its four graduating seniors: Georgia Bourikas, Caitlyn Caramello, Alexandra Clarke and Kelsey Schiebel

SENIOR SEND OFF
Suffolk women's basketball Class of 2017 is one of the most graduating classes in the program history. Through 63 victories, 36 of which came against GNAC competition, 7,739 minutes played the quartet of Georgia Bourikas, Caitlyn Caramello, Alexandra Clarke and Kelsey Scheibel have combined for 2,355 points and 1,519 rebounds. 

Throughout their careers they have led the Rams to four GNAC post-season appearances and a trip to the ECAC Tournament last season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team closed its regular-season road slate in winning fashion as three different Rams racked up double figures to lead the blue-and-gold to a 57-44 victory at Simmons Saturday afternoon at Moore Gymnasium.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk currently sits tied for second-place in the GNAC standings with Johnson & Wales with a 12-3 league ledger. The Rams and Wildcats, who are each 17-7 overall, sit one-game behind Emmanuel. 

The Rams' 66.5 ppg offense ranks fourth in the league behind the best shooters from the outside with the blue-and-gold holding a 34.6 connection rate from long range. Suffolk's well-balanced offense receives double digits point efforts from seniors Kelsey Schiebel (10.8 ppg) and Georgia Bourikas (10.5 ppg). Freshman Alexis Hackett (8.6 ppg) and senior Caitlyn Caramello pitch in 8.6 ppg and 8.5 ppg, respectively. 

Defensively, the Rams limit their opponents to 56.6 ppg and are grabbing a league-best 47.0 rpg including 32.5 defensive boards per outing, which also is the most in the conference. Rookie Katelyn Rourke brings down a team-high 7.5 rpg with Caramello (7.3 rpg), senior Alexandra Clarke (6.3 rpg), Bourikas (5.7 rpg) and Hackett (5.7 rpg) all ending to the effort.

The Suffolk women's basketball team came up short in its GNAC opener as the Rams slipped to Emmanuel, 75-63, at the Andy Yosinoff Court Dec. 1.

INSIDE THE SERIES
In a series that dates back to 1995, Emmanuel holds a commanding 27-1 lead. Suffolk's first and only win over the Saints came Feb. 9, 2008 by a 66-55 margin.

THE ELITE OF THE ELITE

Tuesday night Kelsey Schiebel became just the fourth Ram in Suffolk women's basketball history to not only play in, but start 100 games, joining the ranks of Illiana Quadri '15 (112 GP/1110 GS), Jacqueline Vienneau '13 (110 GP/108 GS) and Katie Librandi '02 (105 GP/103 GS).  

JOINING THE ELITE
Thursday night Kelsey Schiebel joined an elite group of Rams with her 100th career appearance in blue-and-gold. Schiebel is now one of 16 Suffolk women's basketball players to take the hardwood in 100 games.  

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Since November 28 the GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week has donned Suffolk blue-and-gold with Alexis Hackett earning six honors, including four straight from Dec. 12 - Jan. 16, and Katelyn Rourke picking up the nod twice, Dec. 5 and Jan. 23. 

BEST ROOK IN NEW ENGLAND
After collecting her fifth GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week nod this season, Suffolk women's basketball's Alexis Hackett earned another recognition as the NEWBA named her Rookie of the Week, the association announced Monday afternoon.
