BOSTON – Although the Suffolk women's basketball team fell in the GNAC semifinals Thursday night, the season is far from over for the Rams, who found out Monday afternoon the ECAC has selected the blue-and-gold as one of five teams to compete in its New England Region post-season tournament. As the third seed, Suffolk will travel to Western New England, the second season, on Saturday, March 5 for a 3 p.m. match.
Suffolk returns to the ECAC Tournament for the first time since 2012-13 and eighth time in program history. The Rams earned the third seed thank to a 17-10 overall record this season.
The tournament gets underway Wednesday night as the fourth-seeded Endicott hosts Elms in the Quarterfinal round. The winner advances to the semifinals to face the top seed Keene State Saturday at 1 p.m. The championship is set for Sunday at 1 p.m.
