BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team, coming off its fifth straight win, welcomes Norwich to Regan Gymnasium Tuesday night for a GNAC quarterfinals contest set to tip-off at 7 p.m. The game's victor will advance to the GNAC semifinals Thursday night.

LAST TIME OUT
Senior forward Alexandra Clarke had a career day, as the Suffolk women's basketball team recorded its fifth straight win, knocking off Mount Ida, 80-68, inside the Mustangs' Athletic Center Saturday afternoon.

Thanks to its five-game win streak, the longest since Suffolk rattled off six straight victories from January 30 – February 14, 2013, the Rams finished the regular season 16-9, 8-3 GNAC competition and secure the fourth seed in the GNAC tournament.

Clarke put together the first double-double of her career with the senior pouring in a career-high 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, which matches her career-best. Clarke also tallied a career high in blocks (5) to go along with one steal. Georgia Bourikas led all scorers with 20 points with the junior shooting 5-of-11 from the floor and a clutch 8-of-9 at the charity strip.e In addition to her points, the junior guard grabbed five caroms, passed out four assists and had one takeaway. Chelsea Campellone contributed her 13th double-double and fifth straight with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Kelsey Schiebel rounded out all Rams in double figures with 13, but the true story for the junior floor general was her six assists.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS

• Suffolk built off its 59-49 victory over Norwich Feb. 6 and used that momentum to win five straight. The Rams, who are 16-9 overall and 8-3 against conference competition, have outscored their opponents 377-331 in the last six games and average 62.8 ppg in that stretch.
• This season the Rams average 66.3 ppg, the fifth highest offense in the league. Suffolk is shooting 36.8 percent from the floor, 31.1 beyond-the-arc and 66.4 percent at the line. The Rams call upon their league-leading 48.0 rpg to remain in close contests.
• Chelsea Campellone has been Suffolk's offensive and defensive leader this season as the senior averages a double-double effort. Her 15.5 ppg ranks sixth among the GNAC with her 10.6 rpg good for second in the league.
•  Georgia Bourikas adds 10.5 ppg and 4.6 rpg off the bench and Alessandra Quadri contributes 10.0 ppg and 6.2 rpg.

CATCH UP ON THE CADETS

• Norwich capped off its regular season with a 76-72 victory over Rivier to bring a 14-11 overall record and a 6-5 conference mark into Tuesday's meeting.
• The Cadets pour in the league's seventh-best offense with 64.3 ppg behind the fifth-best shooting percentage from the floor (37.2) and second highest connection rate at the line (70.2). Defensively, Norwich keeps teams to 59.3 ppg and outrebounds its opponents by 6.7.
• Three different Cadets average double digits led by Heather LeBlanc's 14.0. Shyann Josler is not far behind in second with 13.2 ppg and Arianna Harrison rounds out the trio with 11.6 ppg.
• LeBlanc also steps up defensively with the junior forward pulling down 10.6 rpg.

WE MEET AGAIN
The Suffolk women's basketball team pulled itself out of an early deficit to defeat Norwich, 59-49, in GNAC play inside Regan Gymnasium February 6.

SUFFOLK IN THE GNAC TOURNAMENT
The Rams will be making their 21st straight appearance in the GNAC Tournament. Suffolk has advanted to the semifinals 12 times and the finals on four occasions. Overall, the Rams are 16-20 in GNAC post-season play (12-8 quarterfinals, 4-8 semifinals, 0-4 finals).

SUFFOLK VS. NORWICH IN THE GNAC TOURNAMENT
Suffolk will meet Norwich in a playoff setting for the sixth time since the Cadets joined the GNAC in 1998-99 and second time in the quaterfinals. Norwich has come out the winner in four of the last five matchups, with four victories coming in the semis (2001, 2002, 2007), while the Rams picked up the semifinal win over the Cadets in 2008. Norwich also captured the lone quarterfinal round meeting 54-48 in 2003.

HOME SWEET HOME
Suffolk is 11-4 overall and 5-1 versus conference competition when playing under the lights of Regan Gymnasium, averaging 69.2 point and 50.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 37.5 (363-969) on the Larry E. Smith and Michael S. Smith floor. Beyond-the-arc the Rams put up a 32.7 connection rate (74-226) and shoot 67.4 percent (283-353) from the line in front of the home crowd.

Chelsea Campellone averages a double-double (19.3 ppg, 11.4 rpg) in the friendly confines of Regan, while Georgia Bourikas (10.3), Alessandra Quadri (10.1) and Kelsey Schiebel (10.1) also notch double figures.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The winner of Tuesday's contest will advance to the semifinal round Thursday, Feb. 25 and play the victor of top-seed Saint Joseph's College (Maine) and No. 8 seed Rivier.
