Women's Basketball Defeat Norwich 59-47

Senior Iliana Quadri (Sudbury, Mass.) scored a game-high 21 points to lead Women's Basketball points past Norwich University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Monday evening.

Junior Alessandra Quadri (Sudbury, Mass.) recorded a double-double posting 10 rebounds and 10 points, while senior Shelby Santini (Winchester, Mass.) netted 12 points off the bench in the victory.

Suffolk would hold the lead for the majority of the contest as they were able to push it to as many as 21 points in the second half on multiple occassions.

Suffolk held Norwich to just 23.6-percent shooting from the field as they forced a total of 25 turnovers which they exchanged for 15 points.

Senior Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) also collected 10 rebounds in the victory as Suffolk held a 47-36 edge on the glass in the game.

The victory snaps a four-game skid for Suffolk as they improve to a 4-10 mark on the season.

Suffolk will be back in action on Thursday evening as they travel to Lasell College for a 5:30pm tip-off with the Lasers in GNAC action.
