Quadri Sisters Propel Women's Basketball to Victory


Led by the Quadri sisters, Iliana and Alessandra (Sudbury, Mass.), the Suffolk University Women's Basketball team rolled to a 84-36 victory over Elms College on Wednesday evening.

Suffolk forced 27 turnovers in the game and shot 47.9-percent from the field (35-for-73) as a team as they improve to a 3-2 mark on the season.

Sophomore Iliana led all scorers with 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field, while freshman Alessandra chipped in with 10 points in 18 minutes off the bench as the Rams finished the game with five players reaching double digits in scoring.

Senior Lindsey Rogers (Gloucester, Mass.) added 15 points and four rebounds, while senior Jacqueline Vienneau (Salem, N.H.) was 6-for-10 shooting from the field as she collected 13 points on the evening for the Rams.

Junior Jennifer Ruys (Wallingford, Conn.) scored 10 points, while sophomore Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) had another big game on the glass leading all players with eight rebounds on the night.

Suffolk took advantage of the tunrovers converting them into 28 points, as Iliana Quadri and freshman Megan Murphy (South Windsor, Conn.) each had four steals on the night. The Rams also scored 38 points in the paint with junior Jessica Bard (Harleysville, Pa.) netting six points and freshman Chelsea Campellone (Fall River, Mass.) adding eight off the bench for Suffolk.

Suffolk will be back in action tomorrow evening, Thursday, in a battle of the Rams as they host Framingham University in non-conference action at the Regan Gymnasium at 7:00pm.
