Regis Rolls Past Rams, 75-53

Boston, Mass. - The Regis College Pride (5-2) defeated the Suffolk University Rams (4-4), 75-53 in a non-conference women's basketball matchup Tuesday evening at the Regan Gymnasium. The Pride had three players reach double digits in points, led by junior Brittany White (Dorchester Mass.) who finished with a game-high 21 points as Regis handed their Rams their first home loss of the season.

Senior Laura Thompson (Kennebunk, Me.) posted her first double-double of the season as she finished with team-highs in points, 14 and rebounds, 10. Thompson finished the game shooting 6-for-11 from the field and chipped in defensively with 6 blocked shots in the game.

Regis sophomore Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass.) put up 16 points for the Pride to go along with 7 rebounds and 9 assists, finishing just shy of a triple-double. Senior Jessica Paige (Quincy, Mass.) finished with a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with 14 points to post a double-double for the Pride.

Regis was able to control the game defensively and on the glass as they had a 64-40 edge in rebounds, and also forced 23 Rams' turnovers.

Senior Mara Dreiser (Port Ewen, NY) scored 11 points for the Rams, the sixth time this season she has reached double digits in points in eight games. Dreiser also collected 7 rebounds for Suffolk.

Regis College will be back in action on Saturday as they take on Framingham State at 5:00pm. The Rams now enter the Holiday break with Suffolk having final exams next week. Suffolk will be back in action on Wednesday, January 6th as they host Manhattanville College at 3:00pm.
