Suffolk University Women's Basketball sophomore Meghan Black (Roslindale, Mass.) was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll for the week of February 1st.
The Rams have now won three games in a row, due in large part to the offensive production Black has given them recently. Black has now scored double digits in points in eight of the last nine Rams' contests, giving her a season average of 10.9 points per game.
Last week, Black had a team-high 19 points to lead Suffolk to a 58-56 victory over Rivier College on Saturday. Black hit the game-deciding shot with 1:36 left as the Rams picked up their second GNAC victory of the week. Black also put in 16 points in Thursday's 77-60 victory over Mount Ida College.
Suffolk will be back in action on Wednesday evening as they take on Johnson & Wales University in a pivotal GNAC matchup as both teams jockey for position in the conference standings. The Rams will be back on their home court on Saturday afternoon as they host Lasell College at 2:00pm at the Regan Gymnasium.
