Johanna Santosuosso and Alyse Ragaglia combined for 37 of
Johnson & Wales (8-3 GNAC, 13-11 overall) 63 points as the
Wildcats escaped Suffolk University’s Regan Gymnasium with a
63-61 victory Tuesday night.
Santosuosso finished with 19 points on 6-9 shooting and 4-6
shooting from beyond the arc, while Ragaglia netted 18 points
despite shooting just 5-16 from the field and 3-9 from three.

had a seven point lead for most of the early part of the second
half.
The Wildcats trailed 41-34 before a barrage of three-pointers and a
17-2 run gave themselves a 51-43 lead with 7:48 remaining. JWU
converted on three three-point attempts during the run, with
Ragaglia hitting two and Santosuosso nailing the other.
Suffolk trailed 55-50 with 3:04 remaining after another
three-pointer from Santosuosso, but Duquette answered with one of
her two threes on the night to make it a 55-53 game with 2:36 left
in the game.
The Rams trailed 57-55 with just under two minutes on the clock
before the Wildcats put the game away with a 6-0 run to take a
63-55 lead with seven seconds remaining.
The Wildcats wrap up their regular season Saturday as the host St.
Joseph College (CT) at 1:00 pm. The Rams look to get back on the
winning track Thursday at home when they take on non-conference
opponent Framingham State at 6 pm.
