Suffolk defeats Gordon to open 2008-09 Season

The Suffolk University Women's Basketball team opened their season in a big way with a 64-33 victory on the road against Gordon College. Playing in her first collegiate game freshman Julianne Conrad (West Bridgewater, MA) lead the offense by scoring 21 points, going 3 for 3 from 3-point land. Down 24-22 at the break, Suffolk put up a big second half with Conrad leading the offensive charge going 7-11 from the floor. Senior Meghan Tracey (Rehoboth, MA) added 7 points with 6 rebounds (4 offensive) and senior Emily Duquette chipped in 6 points and 7 rebounds (6 defensive), while junior Laura Thompson contributed with 7 points and 7 rebounds.


The Rams play again tomorrow, Sunday November 16th against UMass Dartmouth. It will be Suffolk's home opener at the Regan Gymnasium in Boston, MA. Tipoff is at 2 pm.
