The Suffolk University Rams won their 10th game against the Newbury College Nighthawks Monday night, 89-45. In the win, five Rams reached double figures and were led by junior Laura Thompson (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) who was one rebound shy of a double-double to along with her 17 points. 

Freshman starter Julienne Conrad (West Bridgewater, MA/West Bridgewater) helped the Rams build an early lead with 11 first half points to send Suffolk to the locker room up 31. Newbury made a valiant comeback attempt in the second half behind junior Rashawna Winn's (Baltimore, MD/Southwestern) seven points however the Rams proved to be too much for the Nighthawks. Thompson scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half while freshman Mary Garon (Auburn NH/Trinity) added 11 in the half. Freshman Kristina Hayner (Bedford, NH/Bishop Guertin) dished out a game-high seven assists to her teammates.

The Nighthawks were led by junior Katelyn Mark (Quincy, MA/North Quincy), who scored the first six points in the game for Newbury by draining two treys and totaled a team-high 10 first half points. She made her only basket of the second half count as he drained her third three-point shot of the night from long distance, finishing the game with a team-high 13 points.

Suffolk hosts crosstown GNAC rival Emerson College Wednesday night at 7:00 pm at the Regan Gymnasium.
