Title: Assistant Softball Coach
Phone: 617-573-8379

Michelle Zullo has been named an assistant coach on Janet Maguire’s staff for her first season in 2022. Zullo will work primarily with the Rams’ pitching staff.

Suffolk is Zullo’s first collegiate coaching experience as her coaching roots came via the high school sector.

Zullo’s coaching resume started at Pope John High School in 2016. There, she rebuilt the program led it to back-to-back CCL Small League Championships in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Both of those seasons featured trips to the state tournament. In 2017, Pope John appeared in the state tournament field for the first time in 12 years and a year later Zullo’s squad managed to capture a state tournament win for the first time in 20 seasons.

After two years at Pope John, Zullo took her talents to Bishop Fenwick in 2019 where she served as head coach before joining Maguire’s staff this fall.

As a player, Zullo put together a record-setting career at UMass Boston. There, she studied Early Childhood Education, as well as the art of pitching, graduated as the program’s leader in wins (27), appearances (79), complete-games (60), innings pitched (457.0) and strikeouts (253). Her name is also scattered in the Beacons’ top 10 in opponent batting average (.314
