Holly Eicher joined Jaclyn Davis staff as an assistant coach in August 2016 and begins her second season with the Rams in 2018.

In her first season with the blue-and-gold, Suffolk surprised the GNAC tournament field as the third seed with thrilling, extra-inning wins to advance to the championship series for the fifth time in program history. The Rams came out on the wrong side in the winner take all game, however, falling to Johnson & Wales, 15-5, to conclude their campaign 29-17 overall (16-6 GNAC). Eicher was still a part of history, however, as Jill Pulek and Delaney Sylvester became the first Rams’ pair to earn NFCA Northeast first-team status in the program’s history. Pulek and Sylvester were joined by four teammates on the All-GNAC team to mark the most all-league selections in Davis tenure, while tying the program record as well, which was set in 2005. Madison Eucalitto and Devlin Frost earned first-team recognition along with Pulek and Sylvester, while Jaclyn Flint and Ashley Zulla picked up third-team status.

Eicher comes to Suffolk after beginning her coaching career as an assistant at Boston College during the 2016 season. In her single season on staff with the Eagles, the team went 30-23 overall and 12-9 in ACC action en route to the conference tournament. A total of four players garnered All-ACC honors. Administratively, Eicher helped organize practices, team travel and recruiting at BC.

Prior to coaching, Eicher was a standout outfielder for SNHU from 2012-15, where she belonged to the winningest class in program history with 123 career wins, thanks to setting new single-season program wins record each campaign. Eicher led the Penmen to back-to-back Northeast 10 regular-season and conference championships and the NCAA Super Regional Finals in 2014 and 2015. As a senior captain she grabbed a NE10 all-conference outfield selection in 2015 and contributed to SNHU’s NCAA Division II best statistical fielding percentage of 0.977 with just 29 errors in 1,272 chances as a junior. Eicher finished her career with just two errors for a 0.984 fielding percentage and put together a .303 batting average. Off the diamond, Eicher excelled academically, with a spot on the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District Team and consecutive NE10 Academic all-conference nods.

Other softball positions Eicher held prior to coming to Suffolk include serving as mentor and roving instructor at the Headfirst Honor Roll Softball Camps and working as a baseball camp coach/division leader for the Boston Red Sox Baseball Camp.

The Stoneham, Massachusetts native, graduated from SNHU in 2015 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts in communications and minors in public relations, psychology and social media marketing.
