Cara Daly enters her second year as a graduate assistant of the Suffolk University Athletics Department and second as assistant coach of the Rams’ softball program.

In her first season with the Rams, the first-base coach helped Suffolk upstage its previously set victories record with a program-most 33. Along the way, Suffolk captured its second-straight GNAC regular-season title and saw head coach Jaclyn Davis take home her 100th career coaching victory.

Daly brings a season of coaching experience to Davis’ staff, as the Plainville, Massachusetts local worked with middle school-age, female athletes at the King Philip Pride Softball Program. Over the course of the season, she developed the physical and mental skills needed to be a successful student-athlete, beneficial teammate and leader.

A four-year letterman for the Southern New Hampshire softball team from 2010-14, Daly helped the Penmen to a 107-75 record over the course of her career highlighted by a NE-10 Championship and NCAA East Regional appearance in 2014. As a senior, the first basemen captain was awarded for her 46 appearances, the most games played by a Penman.

Daly prepped at King Philip Regional High School, where she played basketball, softball and volleyball.

Daly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology in May 2014 and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
