BOSTON – Suffolk softball makes the trip to Connecticut Wednesday, April 23 for a midweek Conference of New England match at Hartford. Game one is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Diana Rucinski wore the hero cap in the bottom of the seventh as the senior outfielder's one-run double broke a 1-all tie in the bottom of the seventh to send Suffolk softball past Roger Williams, 2-1, in game two of a Conference of New England (CNE) double feature Friday at Carr Diamond.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has split its last two doubleheaders versus Curry and Roger Williams to sit 12-13 on the year and 6-3 in CNE contests. 

Catherine Carignan has the top bat for the Rams with a team-best 30 hits and 16 runs to go along with 12 RBI and seven stolen bases. Julia Mills has brought in a squad-high 15 runs on 28 hits and scored 12 times herself. The sophomore has also swiped seven bases. Lily Gustafson rounds out the top three bats with 24 hits, seven RBI and 14 runs.

Lily Newhall, who has supplied 20 hits, 11 RBI and 11 runs to the offense, is a usual starter in the circle. The right-hadned twirler holds a 3.00 ERA over 74.2 innings with 10 complete-games and 37 strikeouts. Cynthia Rucinski is the other go-to starter for the blue-and-gold and heads into Tuesday with a 3.50 ERA over 66.0 innings and a staff-best 40 Ks.

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Hartford is 15-13-1 on the year and 6-5-1 in CNE contests after splitting twinbills with Nichols and Curry. 

Olivia Wolk (31 H, 21 RBI, 16 R, 8 SB) and Alexis Sealey (35 H, 12 RBI, 21 R, 7 SB) are the top-two bats for the Hawks. Gia Miccio has produced 25 hits, 10 RBI and 24 runs to be a consistent contributor to the offense as well. 

In the circle, Carly Mayhood has seen the most time with 61.2 innings pitched over 15 appearances, 11 starts. She boasts a 2.27 ERA and has sat down 61 batters. Sealey (38.2 IP, 2.53 ERA, 17 K), Gracie Hopkins (30.2 IP, 3.88 ERA, 30 K) and Ella Zobel (46.0 IP, 4.11 ERA, 46 K) are all starting options for the Hawks as well.
