
BEVELRY, Mass. – The Conference of New England (CNE) released the 2025 Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll Friday afternoon and according to the panel of the 10 CNE head coaches, Suffolk is slated to finish seventh for the second straight season.
Western New England is the preseason favorite with 95 points behind seven first-place picks.
Closed behind, Hartford claimed the two spot with 86 points and one first-place nod, while Endicott is two points after the Hawks in third and secured the remaining two first place picks. Roger Williams (63), Wentworth (61) and Nichols (58) took spots four through six.
UNE (31), Curry (19) and Gordon (14) rounded out the poll behind the Rams in eighth, ninth and tenth, respectively.
Suffolk enters its second season under head coach Megan Cook's guidance and is coming off a 19-24 season in which the Rams won their first-ever CNE postseason game.
The Rams open their season today, Friday, March 7 at the Spring Games in Winter Haven, Florida.
