BOSTON – Suffolk softball will see new faces on the field and one on the bench as first-year head coach Megan Cook announced nine newcomers have joined the Rams' roster for 2024.
The group features seven true freshmen in Maddie Baita, Sara Butera, Katie Haley, Ashley Hubner, Hannah McHale, Julia Mills and Cynthia Rucinski. Sophomore Charis Fenter will begin her collegiate career with the Rams, while her classmate Lily Newhall brought her talents to Beacon Hill from Saint Anselm.
"We're very excited about the new additions to our team this year," Cook commented. "This group is versatile and diverse in talents, including strong pitching, speed and athleticism, and dynamic hitters."
Cook continued, "They bring great energy and will be great contributors as we continue to work towards our goal this season."
The nine newcomers join the 13 returners for the Rams' 41st season that starts Friday, March 8 at the Spring Games. Suffolk is set to play in a dozen games over eight days in the Sunshine State.
