BIDDEFORD, Maine – In its third season competing in the Commonwealth Coast Conference, Suffolk softball had three student-athletes pick up All-CCC distinction as Ava Brandow was selected to the second team, while Caitlin Murphy and Savannah Scripter both earned third-team recognition, the league office announced Tuesday.
Brandow, took home an all-league accolade for the first time in her collegiate career. The sophomore utility player from Cranston, Rhode Island, was a consistent contributor at the plate with 31 hits, 15 RBI and 10 runs scored behind a .310/.364/.380 slash line. She also proved to be the most successful twirler on Suffolk's staff with a 5.83 ERA and 67 strikeouts scattered over 96.0 innings pitched in 20 appearances, 14 starts.
Murphy wraps up her collegiate career with her third all-conference award, first since 2021. The outfielder from Abington, Massachusetts swiped seven bases to go along with 24 hits, including four triples. The captain scored 12 runs and brought four in herself.
Scripter, a senior who calls Lancaster, California home, anchored Suffolk's 107-run offense en route to her second all-conference accolade, first since 2021. The right-handed hitter had a team-best 35 hits on a .347 connection rate. She plated 15 runs, tied for a squad-high with Brandow.
Behind this trio, Suffolk built a 10-24 overall mark and made its second straight trip to the CCC postseason under second-year head coach Janet Maguire.
