BOSTON – Suffolk softball will see a dozen new faces featured on the line-up card, head coach Janet Maguire unveiled Tuesday morning.
The group features 11 true freshmen in Ava Brandow, Ashlyn Conley, Delaney Doidge, Lily Gustafson, Ashley King, Julia Newcomb, Haley Oteri, Jolie Quintana, Diana Rucinski, Ella Turnbull and Rebecca Zellin and one junior, Jenny Jacob.
"Since our first session in the fall, our 12 newcomers have shown tremendous growth mindset and excitement for the game," Maguire said. "The group represents all positions on the field and adds depth to the lineup with a mix of speed and power. We are excited to see what they will contribute this spring."
The Rams rookies' make-up the bulk of Suffolk's 22-player squad with just 10 returners broken down to a quartet of seniors, and a trio of juniors and sophomores, respectively.
With the new additions, Suffolk's wait for the 38th season is just a few days away with the Rams set to head down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic.
