HUDSON, N.H. – Suffolk softball broke a 3-all tie in the top of the seventh with a one-run single from Kelly Keane to take down Rivier, 4-3, in game two of the GNAC double feature Saturday afternoon at Presentation of Mary.

HOW IT HAPPENED
All of Suffolk's scoring besides the game-winning run came in the first inning. Back-to-back Raiders errors allowed the Rams to keep the inning alive and the third straight miscue let the two runs come in. Keane then tripled down the right field line to score Brooke Cloak and stretch Suffolk's lead to 3-0.
The three-run margin remained in the Rams' favor until the Raiders leveled the playing field with three runs of their own in the home half of the fifth.
A scoreless sixth set up the thrilling seventh. With one down, Jaclyn Flint capitalized on an error by the Raiders' third baseman, moved into scoring position on Cloak's single to right and scored on Keane's base-hit to center field.
Rivier threatened in the bottom of the inning with a single followed by a Rams' error that put the winning-run on first base. The blue-and-gold's defense gained composure from there and notched the next three outs to lock up the victory.
PITCHERS PICTURE
- Kennedy Reyes earnd the decision behind a two-hit, one-strikeout relief effort over 2.0 innings.
- Hannah DelCervo started in the circle and went 5.0 innings in which she gave up three runs, two hits, six walks and sat down four strikeouts.
- Taylor Rowsell went the distance on the rubber for the Raiders. She let up four runs one eight hits and one walk with four Ks.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Keane produced three runs and two RBI, including the game-winning RBI, to anchor the Rams at the plate.
- Cloak registered two hits and one run scored.
- Flint tallied one hit and one run.
- Brianna Loughlin and Ashley Zulla each scored one run for the Rams.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk swept Rivier for the sixth straight season, winning its 12th contest versus the Raiders to move to 33-22 all-time in the series.
- The Rams move to 12-2 versus the Raiders in the Jaclyn Davis era.
- Keane matched personal-highs in hits (3) and RBI (2).
