BOSTON – Suffolk softball is set to pull the curtain back on its GNAC slate this weekend as it heads to Rivier Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. before entertaining Anna Maria to East Boston Memorial Park for the Rams' Play for a Cause Game the following day, Sunday, April 7 at 12 p.m.

PLAY FOR A CAUSE
Suffolk softball's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) home opener Sunday, April 7 against Anna Maria at East Boston Memorial Park will be the Rams' Play for a Cause game, benefitting cancer research.

LAST TIME OUT
For the second time in as many games and on the same day, Brianna Loughlinprovided the game-winning RBI to push Suffolk softball to an 8-7 walk-off win against Lesley in the nightcap of a non-conference doubleheader at East Boston Memorial Park Tuesday night.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk leveled its record at .500 with its walk-off sweep of Lesley Tuesday night.
Brianna Loughlin has added a spark to the Rams' lineup as of late with the freshman hitting .412 with seven hits, two RBI and two runs featured on her stat line. Classmate Caitlin Murphy is also batting above .400 at a .404 clip with a team-high 21 hits, eight RBI, 12 runs and six stolen bases. Constance Phelan (.346, 9H, 1RBI, 3R), Grace Boehler (.317, 13H, 6RBI, 9R) and Ashley Zulla (.304, 14H, 9RBI, 5R) add depth at the dish as well.
In the circle, Kennedy Reyes has proven to be the biggest threat. In her debut season in blue-and-gold, the rookie twirler brings in a staff-best ERA of 4.00 with 30 strikeouts for a 4-2 record over 11 appearances and seven starts. Hannah DelCervo (25.2 IP, 4.36 ERA, 15 K) and Phelan (34.0 IP, 5.35 ERA, 18 K) are also in the Rams' rotation on the rubber.
RAIDERS REVIEW
Rivier enters the weekend 4-8 overall with three of those victories coming in over the Raiders last two outings.
Kasey Smith has proven to be the most potent hitter this season for Rivier with the junior outfielder hitting .537 with 22 hits, six RBI and six runs scored. She is sneaky on the bags as well with 11 stolen bases. Mikayla Ramsdell is having a stand-up senior season with a .386 batting average on 17 hits for seven RBI and eight runs scored.
Sydney Greeno looks to be the Raiders' ace. The freshman pitcher has put together a 1.85 ERA over 22.2 innings with 22 strikeouts to her credit. Kellie Kennedy and Taylor Rowsell have worked their fair share of innings as well. In 22.0 innings, Rowsell has recorded an ERA of 2.67 with 10 Ks, while Kennedy, who has thrown a team-high 26.1 frames, owns an ERA of 3.72 with 31 punchouts.

- Suffolk has won the last 10 meetings with Rivier to gain an 31-22 edge in the all-time series, which dates back to 1989.
- Since Jaclyn Davis, the Rams are 10-2 against the Raiders.

AMCATS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Anna Maria has been sidelined as of late with its last three double features being postponed due to weather and field conditions. The AMCATs, who will take on Norwich in its league debut Saturday, head into the weekend 0-6.
Sabriana Carreira, Michelle Cilley and Ashley Garcia have been responsible for the bulk of Anna Maria's offensive output this season. As a team, the AMCATs have produced just 29 hits over six outings with the trio each chipping in five hits. Carreira is hitting at a .500 clip with five RBI and three runs to her credit as well.
When it comes to pitching, Anna Maria's staff has combined for an ERA of 12.38 with 14 strikeouts. Victoria Falco (13.1 IP, 5K) is the most experienced arm for the AMCATs. The senior gets help from freshmen Ashley Garcia (6.0 IP, 3K), Alyssa Casalino (3.0 IP, 3K) and Mackenzie Morin (9.0 IP, 3K).
