BOSTON – Delaney Sylvester of the Suffolk softball team has been named a nominee for HeroSports.com DIII Softball Offensive HERO of the Week thanks to two jacks and three RBI in a 17-6 offensive onslaught over Lasell. To vote for Sylvester, click here. 

In the outing that put Sylvester on the ballot, the junior catcher went 2-for-2 at the plate, both balls went over the fence, to be a crucial ingredient in the Rams' record setting eight-homerun day versus the Lasers April 23, 2017.

Sylvester's two-blast, three-RBI outing was a part of a .409 hitting week for the junior catcher. In a 5-2 week, she produced at least one hit in every game with two doubles and three dingers. 

The Worcester, Massachusetts product picked GNAC Corvias Player of the Week for her performance last week for the first time of her collegiate career. 

Sylvester and Suffolk returns to action tomorrow, Thursday, April 27 as it travels to Albertus Magnus for a 2 p.m. tilt.
