Sylvester Secures GNAC Corvias Player of the Week

BOSTON – Delaney Sylvester scooped up her the first GNAC Corvias Players of the Week of her career on the heels of a 5-2 week that featured the junior catcher hit .409 (9-22), slug .909 and bring in nine RBI and score four runs the conference office announced Monday afternoon. 

Sylvester produced at least one hit in every outing for the Rams to finish the week hitting .409 with two doubles and three dingers. She was a main ingredient in Suffolk's record setting performance versus Lasell, sending two balls over the fence as one of six Rams to combined for a program-record eight homers, which is the most for any GNAC foe. She went 2-for-2 in the triumph, going yard in both of her plate performances. 

The honor is Sylvester's first of her collegiate career and marks the third time a Ram was recognized by the conference this season. 

Sylvester and Suffolk are back on the diamond tonight, Monday, April 24 as they host Mt. Ida at East Boston Memorial Park in a two-game series. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
