Softball and Emmanuel Team Up to Benefit Coaches vs. Cancer

BOSTON – The Suffolk and Emmanuel softball teams along with their head coaches, Jaclyn Davis and Rob Spofford, will team up with the American Cancer Society and participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative this weekend. 

During the teams' doubleheader on Saturday, April 9, fans will have an opportunity to take part in fund-raising activities that will benenfit the life-saving work of the American Cancer Soceity and its Coachches vs. Cancer initiative. The doubleheader will beging at 12 p.m. and is being played the Rams' home field, East Boston Memorial Park.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers all coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. The program leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.
