The Suffolk University Softball team has been selected to the 2015 ECAC Division III New England Softball Championship Tournament. Suffolk will enter the tournament as the number four seed and will take on fifth seed Becker College (20-14) on Wednesday afternoon.

Suffolk enters the tournament following one of their most successful regular season as they finished with a 24-14 overall record. Suffolk was the number one seed in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship as they finished with a league best 17-5 conference record.

After finishing the regular-season with a 17-14 record, Brandeis University was selected as the No. 1 seed in the 2015 ECAC Division III New England Softball Championship. The tournament is a six-team field with a single-elimination format in the first round and a double elimination tournament on Saturday and Sunday for teams that advance to weekend play.

Brandeis (17-14) and the No. 2 seed University of Southern Maine (23-18) will receive byes in the first round, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6. Participating in the first round on Wednesday and selected as the No. 3 seed is Albertus Magnus College (24-13), who will be hosting the No. 6 seed, Newbury College (20-13).

The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, May 9. The winner of Suffolk and Becker will face Brandeis in one semifinal and the winner of Albertus and Newbury will meet Southern Maine in the other, with both contests hosted by Brandeis.  The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, May 10 for the championship at Brandeis.

Wednesday's game will be played at Becker College at 4:00pm.
