Suffolk University Softball freshman Madison Eucalitto (Old Saybrook, Conn.) was named Rookie of the Week by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) on Monday March 16.

Eucalitto finished the week hitting .385 (10-for-26) with a team-high five doubles and .577 slugging percentage. She was one of two Suffolk players to record at least 10 hits on the week.

Suffolk opened the week with a 4-4 record as they travelled to Fort Myers, Florida as part of the Gene Cusic Classic.

Eucalitto was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 8-1 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran. She was also 1-for-3 earlier in the day as Suffolk defeated Alfred State in game one of Friday's doubleheader.

Eucalitto was 6-for-13 combined in Suffolk's four victories with three doubles and four RBI to round out the week as they were winners of four straight.

Suffolk is scheduled to be back in action on Friday afternoon when they travel across town to take on Emerson College in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00pm.
